Yeah presentense, I agree. Is that a Beatle's trademark? because Mike said in an interview it sounded like a Beatles tune. He also said he co-wrote Tremor Christ.

(I know the whole band is credited for Vs and Vitalogy but you have to figure some band members played larger roles in the songwriting process than others depending on the song. ie; RVM=Ed, Animal=Stone)

I think Tremor Christ is a classic song in the annals of Pj history. I love how the guitars pick up near the end. 'Tremor Christ' has so much power for a mid-tempo song. Great cryptic lyrics. Nice review.

I like how the guitars keep the beat and the bass plays the melody. That's what makes it appealing to me.

Tremor Christ is one of my very favorites too, one that I'll seek out on bootlegs, and always hope they'll play when I see a show (I've only seen 3 in person though, and not TC so far). I'm with you on not defining what each song means. I'm unclear on most of Vitalogy, and probably most of the catalog. But I'm pretty sure I "get" Tremor Christ on some other, non-literal level, and it's cool that you do too.

I love this song. It is not one of the best songs on Vitalogy, but I connected strongly with it. Your analysis clarifies so many of the things that I have felt about this song but never put into words. Vitalogy, as a listening experience, is so full of turmoil that I seldom define what each song means.

One of the things that I have noticed recently is how current TREMOR CHRIST feels. It would be a hit if it were released today.
